Conquer the Covid blues
- join the "Kensal Rise Triathlon Team"
No athletic ability needed: either swim, cycle or run (or do all three) with a local team of 80 at beautiful Blenheim Palace on Sat 11th Sept
A challenge anyone can do (without loads of training or special kit)
This is an event almost ANYONE can do. Bring the family or come on your own with us.
We took the largest group of people to the event in 2019 - almost 100.
Three were doing their first-ever event and many of us were super fit.
The fast ran fast; the majority of us got round the best we could.
A great way to raise money
It's very easy to get sponsorship and we can help with that! (or just come join the fun with no sponsorship if you're prepared to pay our discounted entry fee yourself).
Our team members have raised over £40,000 for local charities from this event the past three years. we've found people are very happy to sponsor a friend trying Triathlon for the first time.
It's in beautiful grounds, with kids events (they can raise money too or leave that bit to the adults!) and "Sprint" and "Super Sprint" mini-Triathlon distances.
And there are Relay events - so if you don't like swimming (750 metres) you can just do the cycle (22 km) or run (5.4 km).
Meanwhile, if you agree to raise £100 or more for a local charity, The Moberly Sports Centre, the Maqam, Lizzie Barker PT, Rcahel Hosker PT and Gym Locomotive at the Tay on Wrentham Ave will help you get into shape!
The video above tells the story of 2019's training and event. You can also get a feel for the types of people we are by clicking here for Gareth's very light-hearted 'recruitment' video.
Which charities are being supported?
You choose! We particularly like local ones.
Participants so far taking part this year are raising money for Salusbury World, Refugee Support Network, Kensal Rise Library, The Brent Centre for Young People, The Avenues Youth Project, Elders Voice, The Lexi Community Hub, Malorees Infant & Junior School, Salusbury School, Kilburn Park School, Queens Park Primary School, Harlesden Mutual Aid, 9Kitchens, Gift Your Neighbour....they would LOVE you to help fundraise for them, or choose your own local charity.
If you're a charity or would like to help one by taking part please contact us at .
Thank you The Moberly Sports Centre, The Maqam & Swimming Nature, bagsoflove, Maciej at Gym Locomotive, Lizzie Barker PT, Rachel Hosker PT for all your support with this event (and all the light-hearted training).
How much will it cost me?
You can cover all the entry cost to help maximise the money raised for your charity of choice or the charities are offering places at an up to 60% discount in return for pledging to raise at least £100 in sponsorship money.
Sprint (usually £125) or Super Sprint (£110) 'individual' event places (where you do all three legs: swim, bike, run) or a Relay place (usually £67) is £39.
We can offer these prices if you agree to raise at least £100 in sponsorship for the local charity you choose.
We promise you will find that level of sponsorship very easy and we'll help you achieve it.
You ALSO get fantastic local benefits, thanks to our kind sponsors, which are being confirmed - the below are from 2020.
1. Up to 60% off entry price (in return for fundraising)
2. A 14 day pass at the Moberly Sports Centre to get into shape (includes group classes)
3. Free 'Swimming Nature' lessons at the Maqam with Swimming Nature
4. Free strength and mobility "MOT" with Maciej at Gym Locomotive
5. Free Lizzie Barker Group Training on Tiverton Green
6. A free "Sunday Boot Camp" beginner or intermediate park session with Rachel Hosker PT
7. Free lifts to Denham to try open water swimming (and lots of team runs and cycles)
8. Warm fuzzy feel from helping local charities + being part of the largest team at Blenheim
We will also pool lifts to Blenheim, help source a bicycle (note you can even ride a shopping bike), and we may be able to lend wet suits.
Fill out the form at or email by 26th April to reserve a place.
