- join the "Kensal Tri Team" & start fun, free or discounted training now for May 2023?
- 30 local charities took part in 2021/2022 and we can add ANY local charity - click here to see last year's line-up)
No athletic ability needed: either swim, cycle or run (or do all three) with a local team of more than 200.
We organise fun local training for all abilities all year round and will offer discounted places at running, cycling and swimming events, including at beautiful Blenheim Palace Triathlon on Sat 3rd June 2023.
Below is 2021's info - please visit www.kensaltri.com to find out about what's happening now.
A challenge anyone can do (without loads of training or special kit)
This is an event almost ANYONE can do. Bring the family or come on your own with us.
We took the largest group of people to the event in 2021 - 197 adults and 40 children!
Three were doing their first-ever event and many of us were super fit.
The fast ran fast; the majority of us got round the best we could.
A great way to raise money
It's very easy to get sponsorship and we can help with that! (or just come join the fun with no sponsorship if you're prepared to pay our discounted entry fee yourself).
Our team members have raised over £175,000 for local charities from this event the past three years. we've found people are very happy to sponsor a friend trying Triathlon for the first time.
It's in beautiful grounds, with kids events (they can raise money too or leave that bit to the adults!) and "Sprint" and "Super Sprint" mini-Triathlon distances.
And there are Relay events - so if you don't like swimming (750 metres) you can just do the cycle (22 km) or run (5.4 km).
Meanwhile, if you agree to raise £100 or more for a local charity, The Moberly Sports Centre, Swimming Nature at the Maqam, Lizzie Barker PT, Mariangela PT, Jamie Baird PT and Gym Locomotive at the Tay on Wrentham Ave will help you get into shape!
The video above tells the story of 2019's training and event. You can also get a feel for the types of people we are by clicking here for Gareth's very light-hearted 'recruitment' video.
Which charities are being supported? (2021 info)
You choose! We particularly like local ones. So far over 25 have been supported.
Participants so far taking part have raised money for Salusbury World, Refugee Education UK (REUK), Kensal Rise Library, The Brent Centre for Young People, The Avenues Youth Project, Elders Voice, The Lexi Community Hub, Malorees Infant & Junior School, Salusbury School, Kilburn Park School, Queens Park Primary School, NP Foodbank, Harlesden Mutual Aid, 9Kitchens, Gift Your Neighbour., Wormwood Scrubs Pony Centre...they would LOVE you to help fundraise for them, or choose your own local charity. Their fundraising pages are here.
If you're a charity or would like to help one by taking part please contact us at kensalqueenspark@gmail.com.
Thank you The Moberly Sports Centre, The Maqam & Swimming Nature, bagsoflove, Maciej at Gym Locomotive, Lizzie Barker PT, Mariangela PT, Dembo at Storm LDN, Jamie Baird PT for all your support with this event (and all the light-hearted training).
How much will it cost me?
Pricing for May 2022 is from £50 - depending on the event you pick and whether you need help with the entry costs but are prepared to fundraise to help a local charity.
If you register your interest you will not be asked to pay for anything or commit at this stage but it will help us gauge demand for places.
